Three new makers have joined Atomic’s Ann Arbor office as part of the Atomic Accelerator — a professional development program for newly-graduated developers. I asked each to tell me a little bit about themselves.
Casey Falkowski
Casey recently graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. Before joining Atomic, he interned for Ally Financial.
He’s currently working on a project for an organizational change firm. Read Casey’s bio to learn more.
Before starting, I was aware on some level about the variety of projects we get to work on, but learning first hand has been surprising and exciting.
Doug Shipp
Doug earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Kalamazoo College. An Ann Arborite himself, Doug interned at Ann Arbor-based Chelsea Rhone LLC before joining Atomic.
Currently, he is working on autonomous vehicle software for an American-based automotive company. Check out Doug’s bio to learn more.
The core values that are listed on the Atomic website aren’t just for show. They can be seen in just about every interaction throughout the day. From clients to coworkers to the surrounding community, Atomic really cares about the overall well-being of others.
Sam Tahiri
Sam recently graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. While at Oakland, she acted as a student research assistant and published a paper on cybersecurity.
Presently, she is working on platform development for a state-level Department of Education. Check out Sam’s bio.
What surprised me the most about Atomic is how everyone is one big, enthusiastic team. Even if Atoms are split up into smaller groups working with a variety of different clients, we are all in this together. This sense of community helps lower the barrier when it comes to asking for help and getting to know people that I otherwise wouldn’t normally see during my day-to-day.
