Mock Objects for OpenLaszlo

Some work we’re doing for a client involving OpenLaszlo inspired us to create a mock object library for testing. You can read about and download our mock objects library for OpenLaszlo.

Hardware in support of automated system testing

We've recently started working on a new board--something to monitor and report the current battery level of an automated vehicle. On the previous board (in charge of controlling speed), we had a hand-driven test fixture that we used for system testing. This time around, we would like to make heavy use of support hardware that we can control programmatically. Our goal is to make the system testing for the board just as automated as our unit tests are.

Agile + embedded exists!

Last week, my colleagues and I attended the Agile 2006 conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Amongst other sessions, several of us attended the stealth session on Agile practices in the embedded domain. The session was one of the best I attended and I came away with three new, significant pieces of knowledge.
