Atomic Object is thrilled to be a sponsor of the 2023 UX Y’All Conference. Our design team is excited to convene at the conference, participate, and learn from others! Come say hi and get to know our amazing design team with these conversation starters:
Alecia brings immense creativity and organization to her work. Her ability to jump into new challenges and create unique experiences and workflows demonstrates her deep experience in UX and human-centered design. Alecia has been working on a robust design system within Figma for a client in the gaming industry, creating new features while evolving the design system.
Ask Alecia about… her beautiful pottery, another example of her artistry. Ask her about what she’s working on and the amazing process she goes through mixing her own glaze recipes.
Bryan exemplifies what it means to be a multi-faceted designer with experience in strategy, research, experience design, and more. He’s been integral to building the design practice in our Ann Arbor office and leads the team as the Design Practice Lead. Outside of creating beautiful design solutions for clients, Bryan is also an accomplished photographer, documenting his worldly adventures.
Ask Bryan about… the role of design in business and how design can mature from startups to enterprises. He always has excellent podcast recommendations and resources if you’re looking to learn more.
Ian joined Atomic with a background in design research, strategy, and systems thinking. His ability to facilitate design thinking practices and create his own methods for the desired outcomes is stellar. His work at Atomic demonstrates the impact and speed designers can achieve to deliver value by tailoring the right approach and solution for the problem.
Ask Ian about… living in multiple countries and his love of travel. This perspective influences his viewpoint on design. Ask him more, and you’ll surely hear how thoughtful and intentional Ian is about his craft.
Justin is an exceptional interface and experience designer, and his eye for detail pushes design teams to the next level. His collaborative approach to research and planning put participation right in the heart of the design thinking practice. His leadership in the Chicago office is part of why our clients (and fellow Atoms) love working with Atomic designers!
Ask Justin about… onboarding new team members. Ask what it means to build a thriving office culture, and you’ll get 100 ideas you’ll want to swipe right now. Justin has a unique ability to make everyone feel like they belong.
Kim’s reputation precedes her with all the wonderful ways she uses her creativity for good. From creating her own clever workshops to starting her own fashion line, there isn’t anything she can’t do. Kim is the Practice Lead in our Grand Rapids office, where she supports teams, clients, and students from first-time designers to master practitioners.
Ask Kim about… throwing a good party! It’s clear that her skills in design and place-making have become tools for creating memorable events. Ask her about the art of gathering and prepare your heart to melt with all the good vibes.
Kyle is one of those designers who can pick up a new tool or method and master it faster than most. His work with large design systems within Figma is an art (ask him about a large game design project he worked on recently). His ability to adapt these learnings to startups or enterprise companies makes him the versatile designer everyone wants to work with.
Ask Kyle about… brand building. Kyle knows how to build brands that resonate across print, digital, and video. His creativity is limitless, and he’ll undoubtedly have great ideas to share.
Matt is no stranger to complexity. In fact, he thrives on taking in all the information and data and turning it into a simple and elegant experience. It’s what makes him such a great collaborator for innovation work. His ability to facilitate teams and clients through divergent and convergent thinking is second to none.
Ask Matt about… how he expertly weaves Information Architecture into his design systems. And, ask him about his IA work in Figma for some ideas you can apply right now.
