This February, I had the opportunity to attend and speak at UXOK 2021 on the Challenge of Ethical Design. Hosted by Techlahoma, the organizers did a fantastic job streaming and coordinating this virtual conference.
You can view talks from this conference on Techlahoma’s Youtube stream. I wish I could point you to a favorite, but every talk I saw was engaging. Additionally, they all pushed us to think critically as designers. This year’s inaugural conference set the bar high for future UXOK events post-pandemic.
For this conference, I chose to speak on the challenge of ethical designs. This talk encourages viewers to think about their role as designers and the assumptions baked into the design process.
